The issue
On certain vehicles, the cable for the transmission range indicator "PRND321" on the instrument cluster may be damaged by a sharp edge on the shift lever arm. If the indicator cable is cut, the indicator will remain in the "1" position (first gear) regardless of what gear is actually selected. With no gear indication, the operator may inadvertently select an incorrect gear, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Ford dealers will replace the transmission selector arm and indicator assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, le câble de l'indicateur de gamme de la boîte de vitesses PRND321 sur le groupe d'instruments pourrait être endommagé par un bord tranchant sur le bras du levier sélecteur. Si le câble indicateur est coupé, l'indicateur demeurera en position 1 (premier rapport) peu importe le rapport choisi. Sans indication du rapport, l'opérateur pourrait choisir par erreur un rapport incorrect, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'accident endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires Ford devront remplacer l'ensemble indicateur et levier sélecteur.
