The issue
On certain vehicles, the engine crankshaft may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail. If this occurs, the engine could seize, suddenly rendering the vehicle inoperable. Loss of vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will either repair or replace the engine, depending on the vehicle owner's preference.

Sur certains véhicules, le vilebrequin du moteur pourrait avoir été mal fabriqué et pourrait faire défaut. Dans un tel cas, le moteur pourrait se gripper, ce qui rendrait le véhicule inutilisable. Une perte de propulsion, ajoutée à la densité de la circulation, à l'état de la route et aux réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront réparer ou remplacer le moteur, tout dépendant de la préférence du propriétaire du véhicule.
