The issue
On certain walk-in delivery vans, the adhesive used to secure the floor mat to the floor may deteriorate, allowing the floor mat to interfere with the accelerator pedal. This could result in a stuck throttle when the accelerator pedal is fully or almost-fully depressed. A stuck throttle may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle. This could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the floor mat.

Sur certains fourgons de livraison, l'adhésif utilisé pour fixer le tapis au plancher pourrait se détériorer, ce qui permettrait au tapis d'interférer avec l'accélérateur. Cela pourrait coincer l'accélérateur lorsque celui-ci est enfoncé au maximum ou presqu'au maximum. Un accélérateur coincé pourrait faire en sorte que le véhicule atteigne des vitesses très élevées et soit difficile à ralentir ou à arrêter. Cela pourrait causer un accident endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires remplaceront le tapis au plancher.
