The issue

On certain vehicles, the fuel tank may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, some of the fuel tanks may not provide the expected strength in the event of an impact, and may leak. A fuel leak may also occur even in the absence of an impact. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel tank.

Sur certain véhicules, le réservoir de carburant pourrait avoir été mal fabriqué. Par conséquent, les réservoirs de carburant pourraient ne pas offrir la résistance prévue en cas d'impact, ou pourraient également avoir des fuites. Une fuite pourrait aussi se produire même dans l'absence d'un impact. Une fuite de carburant en présence d'une source d'inflammation pourrait provoquer un incendie et augmenter les risques de blessures corporelles et/ou de dommages aux biens. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, si nécessaire, remplacer le réservoir de carburant.
