The issue
On certain vehicles, the fuel gauge may indicate a greater quantity of fuel than what remains in the tank. As a result, if the tank were to become empty, engine stalling could occur which, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will recalibrate the instrument cluster.

Sur certains véhicules, la jauge à carburant pourrait indiquer la présence dans le réservoir d'une plus grande quantité de carburant que la quantité restante. Si le réservoir se vidait complètement, le moteur pourrait caler, ce qui, en conjonction avec la densité de la circulation, l'état de la route et les réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront étalonner de nouveau le groupe d'instruments.
