The issue
On certain vehicles, a defect within the alternator-starter motor wiring harness could cause an electrical short, potentially resulting in a fire. Should this occur while the vehicle is being driven, it could also result in the engine stalling, causing a loss of motive power and increasing the risk of a crash. Both situations could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the alternator-starter motor wiring harness.

Dans certains véhicules, un défaut dans le faisceau de fils du moteur de l'alternateur-démarreur pourrait causer un court-circuit et provoquer un incendie. Si cela se produisait pendant que le véhicule est en mouvement, ça pourrait provoquer le calage du moteur, la perte de puissance motrice et augmenter le risque d'une collision. Les deux situations pourraient augmenter le risque de blessures et/ou de dommages matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le faisceau de fils du moteur de l'alternateur-démarreur.
