The issue

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection. The passenger side airbag mounting may not have been welded to specification, which could affect airbag deployment and result in non-compliance to the standard, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the instrument panel right side upper trim panel.

Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas se conformer aux exigences de la norme de sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada (NSVAC) 208 – Protection des occupants en cas de collision frontale. La fixation du coussin gonflable latéral du passager pourrait ne pas avoir été soudée conformément aux spécifications, ce qui pourrait avoir une incidence sur le déploiement du coussin gonflable et résulter en une non­conformité par rapport à la norme, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures lors d'un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le panneau de garniture supérieur de droite du tableau de bord.
