The issue

Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with insufficient clearance between the power steering pressure tube and the cross-member brace, possibly causing the power steering pressure tube to rust from abrasive contact. This could cause a power steering fluid leak, resulting in increased steering effort and potential for a fire in the presence of an ignition source. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect line routing and replace the pressure line as required.

Certains véhicules pourraient avoir été munis, lors de leur fabrication, d'un dégagement insuffisant entre le tuyau de refoulement de la direction assistée et le renfort de traverse, ce qui pourrait faire rouiller le tuyau de refoulement par contact abrasif. Cela pourrait causer une fuite de liquide de direction assistée, ce qui résulterait en une augmentation de l'effort nécessaire pour diriger le véhicule et risquerait de causer un incendie en présence d'une source d'inflammation. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures ou de dommages à des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'acheminement du tuyau et remplacer le tuyau de refoulement au besoin.
