The issue
On certain propane-powered school buses, the aluminum fuel line fitting at the propane tank can experience dissimilar metal corrosion where it contacts the brass supply housing on the fuel tank. This could result in a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminum fuel line fitting at the fuel tank with a new stainless steel fitting.

Sur certains autobus scolaires au propane, le raccord de canalisation de transport de carburant en aluminium au niveau du réservoir à propane pourrait connaître de la corrosion galvanique où il entre en contact avec le carter d'alimentation en laiton sur le réservoir à carburant. Cela pourrait résulter en une fuite de propane qui, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait résulter en un incendie blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le raccord de canalisation de transport de carburant en aluminium au niveau du réservoir à carburant par un nouveau raccord en acier inoxydable.
