The issue

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The aluminum film applied to the inner reflector of the headlight may delaminate, potentially diminishing the output of the headlight. This could cause the vehicle to fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108, and decrease driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the headlights.

Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas se conformer aux exigences de la norme de sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada 108 – Système d'éclairage et dispositifs rétroréfléchissants. La pellicule d'aluminium appliquée au réflecteur intérieur du phare pourrait se délaminer, ce qui pourrait diminuer la puissance du phare. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le véhicule ne se conforme pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 108, et diminuer la visibilité pour le conducteur, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les phares.
