The issue

On certain vehicles, the intermediate shaft that connects the steering wheel to the steering gear box might have been improperly welded during manufacturing. If the vehicle is continuously operated in this condition, the weld could separate, which could result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the intermediate shaft.

Sur certains véhicules, l'arbre intermédiaire qui relie le volant à la boîte de direction pourrait avoir été mal soudé pendant la fabrication. Si le véhicule est utilisé de façon continue dans cet état, la soudure pourrait se séparer, ce qui pourrait causer une perte de la direction et , par conséquent, augmenter les risques de collision pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'arbre intermédiaire.
