The issue

Certain travel trailers equipped with the Chill Chaser option may have been manufactured with loose wiring and/or excessive insulating foam around the opening of the Chill Chaser's heating element. If the foam insulation or wiring were to come into contact with the heating element, it could melt, and could potentially result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and ensure that the foam insulation and wiring are secured away from the heating element.

Certaines caravanes classiques munies de l'option Chill Chaser pourraient avoir été construites avec des câbles lâches ou une quantité excessive de mousse isolante (ou les deux) autour de l'ouverture de l'élément chauffant de l'option Chill Chaser. Si la mousse isolante ou les câbles entrent en contact avec l'élément chauffant, ils pourraient fondre et cela pourrait déclencher un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les caravanes et s'assurer que la mousse isolante et les câbles sont fixés bien en place à l'écart de l'élément chauffant.
