The issue

On certain motorhomes, the entrance door deadbolt retaining plate may not have been tightened properly. This could allow the deadbolt to disconnect and extend beyond the door lock assembly making the door inoperable. In the event of an accident or a fire, the occupants of the vehicle could be trapped inside increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and tighten the deadbolt retaining plate as necessary.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, la plaque de retenue du pêne dormant de la porte d'entrée pourrait ne pas avoir été bien serrée. Cela pourrait permettre au pêne dormant de se détacher et de dépasser du dispositif de verrouillage de la porte, ce qui rendrait la porte inutilisable. En cas d'accident ou de déclenchement d'un feu, les occupants du véhicule pourraient être coincés à l'intérieur, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter la plaque de retenue du pêne dormant et la serrer au besoin.
