The issue

On certain vehicles, the rear grab rail brackets may not have been manufactured to design specifications. In the event of a collision, they could interfere with side curtain airbag deployment and could result in a rear-seat occupant not receiving the intended protection from the side curtain airbag, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear grab rail bracket with one that has felt applied to prevent a puncture of the side curtain airbag.

Sur certains véhicules, les supports de rampe arrière pourraient ne pas avoir été fabriqués conformément aux spécifications de conception. En cas de collision, ils pourraient nuire au déploiement du rideau gonflable latéral, ce qui pourrait faire en sorte qu'un occupant du siège arrière ne soit pas protégé de la façon prévue par le rideau gonflable latéral. Cela augmenterait les risques de blessures. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le support de rampe arrière par un support sur lequel du feutre a été appliqué afin d'empêcher la perforation du rideau gonflable latéral.
