The issue

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 201 - Occupant Protection. The console-compartment latch assembly may be unable to retain the door in the event of a crash, contrary to the requirements of the standard, increasing the risk of injury to the occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the console-compartment latch assembly.

Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas satisfaire aux exigences de la norme de sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada (NSVAC) 201 - Protection des occupants. Le dispositif de verrouillage du compartiment de console pourrait ne pas pouvoir retenir le couvercle en cas d'accident, ce qui va à l'encontre des exigences de la norme et augmenterait les risques de blessures pour les occupants. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le dispositif de verrouillage du compartiment de la console.
