The issue

On certain Sierra 1500 and Silverado 1500 vehicles, the flexible steel cable that connects the driver's seat belt to the vehicle structure at the outboard position can fatigue over time and could separate, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will enlarge the side shield opening, install a pusher bracket on the tensioner and, if necessary, replace the tensioner assembly.

Sur certains véhicules Sierra 1500 et Silverado 1500, le câble en acier souple qui relie la ceinture de sécurité du siège du conducteur à la structure du véhicule peut s'user au fil du temps et se séparer, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures lors d'un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront agrandir l'ouverture du dispositif de protection latéral, installer un support poussoir sur le tendeur et, au besoin, remplacer le tendeur.
