The issue

On certain vehicles, a bolt that attaches the rear tie-rod to the hub carrier assembly may not have been torqued to specification. This could cause the bolt to loosen, which could result in noise from the rear of the vehicle. Over time, this could lead to separation of the tie-rod from the hub carrier, affecting steering control and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect tie-rod to hub carrier attaching bolts and will repair as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules, un boulon servant à fixer la biellette de direction arrière sur le porte-moyeu pourrait avoir été mal serré. Par conséquent, il pourrait se desserrer, ce qui pourrait produire un bruit provenant de l'arrière du véhicule. Au fil du temps, la biellette de direction pourrait se séparer du porte-moyeu, ce qui nuirait au contrôle de la direction et augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les boulons servant à fixer la biellette de direction sur le porte-moyeu, ainsi qu'effectuer des réparations au besoin.
