The issue

On certain vehicles, some front halfshafts may contain a manufacturing defect related to the material hardening. This could result in a halfshaft breaking, potentially damaging underbody components. In addition, the halfshaft could separate and become a road hazard for other motorists. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace both front halfshafts.

Sur certains véhicules, les arbres de roues motrices avant de certains véhicules pourraient présenter un défaut de fabrication relatif au durcissement du matériau. Cela pourrait entraîner leur rupture, l’endommagement de composants de soubassement et la séparation des arbres, de même que poser un danger pour d’autres automobilistes et accroître les risques d’accident pouvant causer des blessures et/ou des dommages matériels. Correction : les détaillants doivent remplacer les deux arbres de roues motrices avant.
