The issue

On certain vehicles, the screws holding the seatbelt retractor’s retaining plate may not have been properly tightened. In the event of a crash, this could cause the retaining plate to break and come in contact with the occupants of the vehicle, which would increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the seatbelt assembly as necessary.

Dans certains véhicules, les vis qui maintiennent en place la plaque de retenue du rétracteur de ceinture de sécurité pourraient ne pas avoir été adéquatement serrées. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que la plaque se rompe et heurte des occupants en cas de collision, accroissant ainsi les risques de blessure. Correction : les détaillants doivent inspecter l’ensemble de ceinture de sécurité et le remplacer s’il y a lieu.
