The issue
On certain vehicles, the bond between the carbon-fiber driveshaft and the engine/transmission flange might not have been manufactured to specification. This could result in the driveshaft potentially separating from the flange, causing a loss of traction between the engine and transmission which could cause a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the carbon-fiber driveshaft, and replace if necessary.

Sur certains véhicules, la liaison entre l’arbre de transmission de fibres de carbone et la bride de moteur/transmission pourrait ne pas avoir été fabriquée conformément aux spécifications pertinentes. Cela pourrait entraîner une séparation de l’arbre et de la bride, une perte de traction entre le moteur et la transmission, ainsi qu’une perte de force motrice, et accroître ainsi les risques de collision causant des blessures et/ou des dommages matériels. Correction : les détaillants doivent inspecter les arbres visés et les remplacer s’il y a lieu.
