The issue
On certain travel trailers equipped with an optional 12 cubic foot refrigerator, the refrigerator exhaust vent was located in the wrong location, and an internal baffle may also not be properly located. An improperly located vent location may cause the refrigerator compartment to overheat which would trigger the high temperature sensor and result in the refrigerator shutting down. If the high temperature sensor on the refrigerator fails to turn the refrigerator off, it would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a larger refrigerator exhaust vent and relocate an internal baffle, as necessary.

Dans certaines caravanes classiques munies d'un réfrigérateur de 12 pieds cubes optionnel, le conduit de sortie du réfrigérateur a été installé au mauvais emplacement et une chicane interne pourrait également avoir été installée au mauvais emplacement. Un conduit de sortie mal situé pourrait causer une surchauffe du compartiment de réfrigération, ce qui activerait le capteur de température élevée du réfrigérateur et causerait l'arrêt de ce dernier. Si le capteur de température élevée du réfrigérateur ne déclenche pas l'arrêt du réfrigérateur, cela augmentera les risques de déclenchement d'un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront installer un plus grand conduit de sortie du réfrigérateur et déplacer une chicane interne, selon les besoins.
