The issue

On certain motorcycles equipped with a black-coloured clutch master cylinder, the hydraulic clutch system may not be able to generate enough lift to disengage the clutch after being parked for an extended period of time. If this occurs, the driver could lose control of the motorcycle at start up if it is left in gear or when it is first shifted into gear, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will flush the clutch system and rebuild the clutch master cylinder.

Dans certaines motocyclettes munies d'un maître-cylindre d'embrayage noir, le système d'embrayage hydraulique pourrait ne pas être en mesure de produire une portance suffisante pour désengager l'embrayage après que la motocyclette a été stationnée pendant une période prolongée. Si ce problème survient, le conducteur pourrait perdre la maîtrise de sa motocyclette au démarrage si elle est laissée en position embrayée ou lors du premier changement de vitesse, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront purger le système d'embrayage et remettre en état le maître-cylindre d'embrayage.
