The issue
On certain vehicles, a reinforcement plate and the protective bracket may not have been installed on the airbag control unit. This could cause the airbag control unit to become damaged in the event of a frontal impact. If this occurs, this could prevent the airbag system to work properly in the event of a secondary impact requiring the deployment of additional airbags which could increasing the risk of injury to the occupants. Correction: Dealers will install the reinforcement plate with the protective bracket.

Dans certains véhicules, une plaque de renforcement et le support de protection pourraient ne pas avoir été installés sur le module de commande des coussins gonflables. Par conséquent, ce module pourrait être endommagé lors d'une collision frontale. Si ce problème survient, il pourrait empêcher le fonctionnement adéquat du module en cas d'impact secondaire nécessitant le déploiement de coussins gonflables supplémentaires, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures pour les occupants.
