The issue
On certain travel trailers, the hinge assemblies of the rear cargo door may have been manufactured incorrectly. The weld on the hinge assembly had been ground down during manufacturing to ensure clearance when installed on a door. The grinding of the weld weakened the joint and, as a result, if the door were to be opened and the hinge assembly were to fail, the door could come down with more force than normal, increasing the risk of injury to a person standing nearby. Correction: Dealers will inspect the hinge assembly and replace as necessary.

Les ensembles de charnières de la porte cargo arrière de certaines caravanes pourraient avoir été mal fabriqués. En effet, la soudure de l'ensemble de charnière a été meulée pendant la fabrication afin d'obtenir un jeu lors de l'installation de la porte. Le meulage de la soudure a affaibli le joint. Si elle devait être ouverte et que l'ensemble de charnière faisait défaillance, la porte cargo pourrait s'abaisser avec plus de force qu'à la normale, augmentant ainsi les risques de blessures aux individus se trouvant à proximité. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent inspecter l'ensemble de charnières et le remplacer au besoin.
