The issue

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. Certain driver frontal airbag modules may have been assembled incorrectly. In the event of a crash warranting deployment of the driver's frontal airbag, the airbag may not completely fill, or the airbag cushion may detach from the airbag module, which would not protect the driver as expected, and could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the driver's frontal airbag.

Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas être conformes aux exigences de la NSVAC 208 - Protection des occupants en cas de collision frontale. En effet, certains modules de coussin gonflable frontal du conducteur pourraient ne pas avoir été assemblés correctement. En cas de collision nécessitant le déploiement du coussin gonflable avant du conducteur, le coussin pourrait ne pas se gonfler entièrement ou se détacher du module ce qui ne permettrait pas de protéger adéquatement le conducteur et augmenterait les risques de blessures. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent remplacer le coussin gonflable avant du conducteur.
