The issue

On certain vehicles, the fuel pump flange may develop fine cracks or fissures, which could result in a fuel leak. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a butyl protective film to the fuel pump flange. If cracks are present, the fuel pump flange will be replaced.

Dans certains véhicules, des fissures fines pourraient se former dans la bride de la pompe à carburant, ce qui pourrait causer une fuite de carburant. Une fuite de carburant, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait déclencher un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront nettoyer et appliquer une bande de caoutchouc butylique afin de protéger la pompe.
