The issue
On certain trailers, the rivets which secure the external aluminium rub rails may shear. If a sufficient number of rivets were to fail, the rub rail could partially or fully separate from the vehicle, posing a risk to other motorists and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Aluminium rivets will be replaced with stainless steel ones.

Les rivets qui fixent les lisses latérales de protection extérieures en aluminium sur certaines remorques pourrait se cisailler. Si un bon nombre de rivets venaient à se cisailler, la lisse latérale pourrait se séparer partiellement ou complètement du véhicule, posant ainsi un risque pour les autres automobilistes et augmentant les risques de collision et/ou de dommages matériels. Mesures correctives : Les rivets en aluminium doivent être remplacés par des rivets en acier inoxydable.
