The issue

On certain vehicles, a connection at the electric power steering (EPS) motor may have been damaged at time of assembly. This could lead to a loss of the steering assist. A loss of power steering assist could unexpectedly increase steering effort which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the EPS motor.

Dans certains véhicules, une connexion du moteur de direction à assistance électrique pourrait avoir été endommagée en cours d’assemblage, ce qui pourrait entraîner une perte d’assistance de la direction, exiger un effort soudain et inattendu du conducteur et accroître les risques de collision pouvant causer des blessures et/ou des dommages matériels. Mesure corrective : les concessionnaires doivent remplacer le moteur.
