The issue
On certain travel trailers, the certification label may not contain the correct Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The label incorrectly indicates a GVWR of 1,683 kg (3,710 lbs) instead of 1,338 kg (2,950 lbs). As a result, the vehicle could be overloaded, which would result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Gulf Stream will provide a corrected certification label to current owners and dealers with instructions for proper placement. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to a Gulf Stream dealer for installation.

L'étiquette d'homologation de certaines caravanes classiques pourrait indiquer le mauvais poids nominal brut du véhicule (PNBV). En effet, l'étiquette indique un PNBV de 1,683 kg (3,710 lb) alors qu'on devrait lire 1,338 kg (2,950 lb). Ainsi, le véhicule pourrait être surchargé, ce qui nuirait à la manœuvrabilité et pourrait augmenter les risques de collision et/ou de dommages matériels. Mesures correctives : Gulf Stream fournira la bonne étiquette d'homologation aux propriétaires actuels et des instructions pour l'apposer. S'ils le désirent, les propriétaires peuvent faire apposer l'étiquette par le concessionnaire Gulf Stream.
