The issue

On certain vehicles, the passenger's frontal airbag may not deploy correctly due to an issue in manufacturing. As a result of long-term storage, there could be insufficient compression strength of the coolant within the inflator housing of the passenger's frontal airbag, which may cause the airbag to fail to deploy properly in the event of a crash (where deployment is warranted), which could increase the risk of injury to the front passenger occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger's frontal airbag inflator.

Le coussin gonflable du passager avant de certains véhicules pourrait ne pas se déployer correctement à cause d'un problème de fabrication. En raison d'un entreposage à long terme, la résistance à la compression du liquide de refroidissement à l'intérieur du boîtier du dispositif de gonflage du coussin gonflable pourrait être insuffisante et faire en sorte que le coussin gonflable ne se déploie pas correctement lors d'une collision justifiant le déploiement du coussin. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures au passager avant. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le dispositif de gonflage du coussin gonflable du passager avant.
