The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a V6 engine, the crankshaft rotor may have been produced with an anti-corrosion coating that is too thick. This could cause interference with the crank position sensor, potentially causing the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the crank position sensor with one of an improved design.

Dans certains véhicules munis d'un moteur V6, le rotor du vilebrequin pourrait avoir été fabriqué avec un enduit anticorrosion trop épais. Cela pourrait nuire au capteur de position du vilebrequin, ce qui pourrait faire caler le moteur et augmenterait ainsi les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le capteur de position du vilebrequin par un capteur à conception améliorée.
