The issue

On certain aerial devices, the boom tip could fail. Failure of the boom tip could increase the risk of injury to the operator. Correction: Dealers will inspect the boom tip for cracks. If cracks are found, the unit is to be taken out of service until the tip can be replaced. If the boom tip is found to be from an early generation, the boom tip must be replaced regardless of cracks.
