The issue

On certain side-by-side UTV’s, the exhaust silencer could fatigue and crack. As a result, the heat shield may not manage the exhaust gas heat and nearby components could melt and/or catch fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear box heat shield with an upgraded stainless steel shield.

Sur certains VUTT de type côte à côte, le silencieux pourrait se fissurer par fatigue, et le bouclier thermique pourrait ne plus être en mesure de gérer la chaleur des gaz d'échappement. Les composants à proximité pourraient alors fondre ou s'enflammer, augmentant ainsi les risques de blessures ou de dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'écran thermique du boîtier arrière par un écran en acier inoxydable amélioré.
