The issue

On certain school buses equipped with Gen4 Ford engines and with optional brake and throttle interlock, a software problem may cause the throttle interlock system not to block the activation of the throttle as intended. In this situation, an application of the throttle pedal could cause unintended movement of the bus, even though the interlock is active and the service brakes are applied. Correction: Dealers will update the software for the Smart Relay Module (SRM) to remedy this condition.

Sur certains autobus scolaires équipés de moteurs Ford Gen4 Ford et de groupes d'instruments Actia, avec verrouillage de l'accélérateur en option, un problème logiciel peut inhiber l'accélérateur de façon intermittente. Cela pourrait donner lieu à un papillon des gaz fonctionnant de façon intermittente lorsque les freins sont serrés et également entraîner une perte intermittente de sa fonctionnalité lorsqu'on passe le levier d'embrayage de la position ON à OFF ou après avoir fermer la porte d'entrée. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires doivent mettre à jour le logiciel du module de relais intelligent (SRM).
