The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with the "Active Lane Keeping Assistant" option, sensors in the steering wheel may not adequately detect if a driver has their hands off the wheel. As a result, the vehicle may not provide proper warnings to the driver. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the steering wheel, and replace as necessary.

Dans certains véhicules munis de l'option d'assistant de maintien de voie (Active Lane Keeping Assistant), les capteurs dans le volant pourraient ne pas détecter adéquatement si un conducteur a retiré ses mains du volant. Par conséquent, le véhicule pourrait ne pas fournir des avertissements adéquats au conducteur. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le volant, ainsi que le remplacer au besoin.
