The issue

On certain vehicles, the electric power steering system could get caught in an infinite loop of steering assist going from lock to lock due to a manufacturing defect in the torque sensor. This could cause unintended steering input, reducing vehicle manoeuvrability, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering gearbox assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, la direction assistée électrique pourrait être prise dans une boucle infinie d'assistance à la direction allant d'une butée à l'autre à cause d'un défaut de fabrication dans le capteur de couple. Cela pourrait causer une sollicitation en direction soudaine, ce qui diminuerait la manœuvrabilité du véhicule, ce qui pourrait causer un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le boîtier de direction.
