The issue

On certain vehicles, the fuel lines may weep or leak fuel due to an error in the assembly process. Fuel leaks may potentially occur at any location along the fuel line due to the introduction of foreign particles between the metal fuel line and plastic fuel line during the connection process. This could cause scratches on the plastic fuel line portion, and over time can increase the risk of an underhood fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a new fuel line. Note: This is an expansion of Recall 2017-032.

Les canalisations de carburant de certains véhicules pourraient suinter ou fuir en raison d'une erreur dans le processus d'assemblage. Des fuites de carburant pourraient potentiellement se produire à n'importe quel endroit en raison de l'introduction de particules étrangères pendant le raccord de la canalisation de carburant métallique et de la canalisation en plastique. Cela pourrait causer des égratignures sur la partie en plastique de la canalisation et, avec le temps, augmenter les risques d'incendie sous le capot causant des blessures et/ou des dommages aux biens. Correction: Les concessionnaires doivent installer une nouvelle canalisation de carburant. Remarque : Le présent rappel s'ajoute au rappel 2017-032.
