The issue
Issue: On certain fifth-wheel trailers, the power awning does not have proper fuse protection. As a result, an electrical overload or short circuit could cause the wiring to overheat. Safety Risk: If the wiring overheats, there could be an increased risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have a fuse holder and 5-A fuse installed in the power awning circuit.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes à sellette, l'auvent à commande électrique n'est pas protégé par un fusible approprié. Par conséquent, une surcharge électrique ou un court-circuit pourrait provoquer une surchauffe du câblage. Risques pour la sécurité : Si le câblage surchauffe, il pourrait y avoir un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire installer un porte-fusible et un fusible 5-A sur le circuit d'alimentation de l'auvent.
