The issue

Issue: On certain trucks equipped with halogen headlights, the daytime running lights may be brighter than what is allowed by Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Daytime running lights that are too bright could cause glare for oncoming drivers. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the central body controller with new software.

Problème : Dans certains camions munis de phares halogènes, les feux de jour pourraient être plus puissants que ce qui est permis par la réglementation canadienne. Risque pour la sécurité : Des feux de jour trop puissants pourraient éblouir les conducteurs des véhicules en sens inverse. Mesure corrective : L'entreprise avisera les propriétaires touchés par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire mettre à jour le module de commande sur carrosserie central avec un nouveau logiciel.
