The issue
Issue: On certain travel trailers, the emergency trailer breakaway switch may not be properly wired. If the trailer separates from a tow vehicle, the trailer brakes would not self-apply. Safety Risk: If the trailer breakaway switch does not work properly, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their travel trailer to a dealer to inspect the breakaway switch. The switch will be re-wired as required.

Problème : Dans certaines caravanes classiques, le commutateur de rupture d'attelage d'urgence pourrait être mal câblé. Si la caravane se sépare d'un véhicule remorqueur, les freins de la caravane ne s'appliqueront pas automatiquement. Risque pour la sécurité : Si le commutateur de rupture d'attelage fonctionne mal, il pourrait y avoir un risque accru d'accident. Mesure corrective : Jayco avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur caravane classique chez un concessionnaire afin de faire inspecter le commutateur de rupture d'attelage. Le commutateur sera recâblé au besoin.
