The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with an awning manufactured by Fiamma, the awning could extend suddenly without a user input. Safety Risk: An awning that opens suddenly could injure a person standing beside the motorhome. If the awning extends while driving, it could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Pleasure-Way will notify owners of affected motorhomes by mail. As a temporary repair, the awning must be strapped in a closed position to prevent it from opening suddenly. Pleasure-way will provide owners with straps as soon as they are available and tested. Pleasure-Way will pay a dealer or mechanic to install these straps. A final repair is being developed.

Problème : L'auvent fabriqué par Fiamma de certaines autocaravanes pourrait se déployer soudainement sans l'intervention de l'utilisateur. Risques pour la sécurité : Un auvent qui s'ouvre soudainement pourrait blesser une personne se tenant à côté de l'autocaravane. Si l'auvent se déploie alors que l'autocaravane est en marche, cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Pleasure-Way doit aviser par la poste les propriétaires des autocaravanes touchées. Comme réparation temporaire, l'auvent doit être attaché en position fermée pour éviter qu'il ne s'ouvre soudainement. Pleasure-Way fournira aux propriétaires des sangles dès qu'elles seront disponibles et auront été testées, puis paiera un concessionnaire ou un mécanicien pour installer ces sangles. Une réparation finale est en cours d'élaboration.
