The issue
Issue: On certain travel trailers, the wiring in the hitch area does not have proper circuit protection. If a short circuit occurs, the wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to install a fuse to protect the circuit.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes classiques, le câblage dans la zone de l'attelage n'est pas bien protégé. Si un court-circuit se produit, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : Un câblage qui surchauffe ou fond pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire installer un fusible afin de protéger le circuit.
