The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) blower motor may have been built incorrectly. This could result in a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could cause overheating, melting, smoke, and create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. The HVAC blower motor will be replaced as necessary.

Problème : Dans certains véhicules, le moteur de ventilateur de chauffage, ventilation et climatisation (CVC) pourrait avoir été mal fabriqué. Cela pourrait causer un court-circuit. Risque pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit pourrait entraîner une surchauffe, faire fondre un matériau, produire de la fumée et créer un risque d'incendie. Mesure corrective : Ford avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de le faire inspecter. Le moteur de ventilateur de CVC devra être remplacé au besoin.
