The issue

Issue: On certain fire trucks, the locking tabs on the positional waterway trolley can break if the proximity switches are not properly adjusted. As a result, the trolley can move when the water pressure is turned on. If this happens, the trolley can disconnect from the ladder and drop to the ground. Safety Risk: A positional waterway trolley that disconnects from the ladder and drops to the ground could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Smeal will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact your local dealer to arrange for an adjustment of the proximity switches on the positional waterway trolley.

Problème : Sur certains camions de pompier, les languettes de blocage sur le chariot de positionnement de tuyau d'incendie peuvent se briser si les contacteurs de proximité ne sont pas réglés correctement. Par conséquent, le chariot peut bouger lorsque la pression d'eau est activée. Si cela se produit, le chariot peut se séparer de l'échelle et tomber au sol. Risques pour la sécurité : Un chariot de positionnement de tuyau d'incendie qui se sépare de l'échelle et tombe au sol peut créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Smeal doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander de communiquer avec le concessionnaire le plus proche pour prévoir un réglage des contacteurs de proximité sur le chariot de positionnement de tuyau d'incendie.
