The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the power liftgate may partially lower from the fully open position when the vehicle is parked facing uphill on a slope. The liftgate will not lower all the way to the closed position. Safety risk: A liftgate that partially lowers suddenly could create a risk of injury. Corrective action: Mazda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the power liftgate software. The dealer will also inspect the liftgate drive units and replace them, if necessary.

Problème: Sur certains véhicules, le hayon électrique peut s'abaisser partiellement à partir de la position complètement ouverte lorsque le véhicule est stationné face à la montée sur une pente. Le hayon ne s'abaissera pas complètement jusqu'à la position fermée. Risque de sécurité: Un hayon qui s'abaisse soudainement partiellement peut créer un risque de blessure. Action corrective: Mazda avisera les propriétaires par courrier et vous demandera d'amener votre véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour mettre à jour le logiciel du hayon électrique. Le concessionnaire inspectera également les unités d'entraînement du hayon et les remplacera si nécessaire.
