The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, an incorrect passenger-front airbag may have been installed during the repair for Transport Canada recall 2017-023. As a result, the airbag may not unfold properly when it deploys in a crash. This could cause the airbag to tear or not to inflate properly. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Infiniti will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an Infiniti dealer to inspect the passenger-front airbag assembly. It will be replaced, if necessary.

Problème Sur certains véhicules, un coussin gonflable avant droit défectueux pourrait avoir été posé au cours de la réparation dans le cadre du rappel 2017-023 de Transports Canada. En conséquence, le coussin gonflable pourrait ne pas se déployer adéquatement lors d'un accident, ce qui pourrait faire en sorte qu'il se déchire ou ne se gonfle pas adéquatement. Risques pour la sécurité Un coussin gonflable qui ne fonctionne pas adéquatement pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives Infiniti doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire Infiniti pour faire inspecter le coussin gonflable avant droit. Le coussin gonflable doit être remplacé au besoin.
