The issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles, a problem with the headlamp bulb shield could cause the headlamp bulb to fail. This can cause the headlight to turn off suddenly. Note: If the headlamp bulb fails, the Security Lamp will turn on. Safety Risk: A headlight that fails could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to arrange service with an Authorized Harley-Davidson dealer, who will confirm the motorcycle is covered by this recall. If covered, the dealer will install a new headlamp bulb shield.

Problème : Sur certaines motocyclettes, un problème avec l'écran de lampe du phare pourrait causer une défaillance de la lampe du phare. Par conséquent, le feu avant pourrait s'éteindre soudainement. Remarque : Si la lampe du phare subit une défaillance, le témoin de défaillance s'allumera. Risques pour la sécurité : Un phare qui s'éteint pourrait réduire la visibilité et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Harley-Davidson avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront communiquer avec un concessionnaire Harley-Davidson autorisé, qui leur indiquera si leur motocyclette est visée par ce rappel.
