The issue

Issue: On certain travel trailers, the interior cooktop burner could be affected by the operation of the furnace. This could potentially cause the burner flame to invert. Safety Risk: An inverted burner flame could create the risk of a burn injury or cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Airstream will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to install a panel and seal any gaps that could allow return air from the furnace to cause an inverted flame on the cooktop. To minimize the safety risk, Airstream recommends that the furnace and the range cook top should not be used at the same time before the recall repairs have been completed.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes classiques, l'appareil de chauffage, lorsqu'il est sous tension, pourrait avoir une incidence sur le brûleur de la table de cuisson. Cela pourrait potentiellement inverser la flamme du brûleur. Risques pour la sécurité : Une flamme de brûleur inversée pourrait créer un risque de brûlure ou causer un incendie. Mesures correctives : Airstream doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste d'apporter leur caravane chez un concessionnaire afin d'installer un panneau et de sceller tout espace dans lequel l'air de reprise revenant de l'appareil de chauffage pourrait inverser la flamme du brûleur de la table de cuisson. Afin de minimiser le risque pour la sécurité, Airstream recommande que l'appareil de chauffage et la table de cuisson ne soient pas utilisés en même temps avant que les réparations de rappel ne soient terminées.
