The issue
Issue: On certain vehicles, a cable in the trunk harness could become damaged over time. If this happens, the rearview camera image may not appear on the center display when backing-up. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by e-mail and arrange for an inspection of the trunk harness. Tesla Service will install a harness protector to prevent further wear and will replace the harness, as required.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un câble du faisceau de câbles du coffre pourrait s'endommager avec le temps. Si cela se produisait, l'image de la caméra de recul pourrait ne pas apparaître sur l'écran central lors des manœuvres en marche arrière. Risques pour la sécurité : Une image de caméra de recul qui ne s'affiche pas pourrait réduire la capacité du conducteur à voir derrière le véhicule lorsqu'il fait marche arrière et augmenter les risques de collision. Mesures correctives : Tesla doit aviser les propriétaires par courriel et organiser une inspection du faisceau de câbles du coffre. Le service Tesla installera un dispositif de protection du faisceau pour empêcher toute usure supplémentaire et, au besoin, remplacera le faisceau de câbles.
