The issue

Issue: This recall is for certain used trucks that Trojan Welding Inc. converted to dump trucks in 2019 and 2020. The company applied the National Safety Mark and a new compliance label that indicated the trucks were built in 2020. This is not allowed under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Safety Risk: Contrary to Trojan's labelling, the modified trucks do not meet all requirements under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Corrective Actions: Trojan Welding will notify the owner(s) in writing and arrange for the removal of the incorrect compliance label and National Safety Mark.

Problème : Le présent rappel vise certains camions d'occasion que Trojan Welding Inc. a convertis en camions à benne en 2019 et en 2020. L'entreprise a apposé la marque nationale de sécurité et une nouvelle étiquette de conformité qui indiquait que les camions ont été construits en 2020. Cela n'est pas permis en vertu de la Loi sur la sécurité automobile. Risques pour la sécurité : Contrairement à l'étiquette de Trojan, les camions modifiés ne respectent pas toutes les exigences de la Loi sur la sécurité automobile. Mesures correctives : Trojan Welding avisera les propriétaires par écrit et prendra les dispositions nécessaires pour faire enlever l'étiquette de conformité incorrecte et la marque nationale de sécurité.
